Global Welfare Foundation, established in 2007, is a non-profit association registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Gambia.

We empower young people through academy coursework, leadership, training, mentoring, and networking. We aim to provide seed capital and technical assistance to young African leaders to launch or expand their ventures. We link leaders with business development partners to facilitate mentoring, provide professional advice and technical know-how, and improve business outcomes.

Our activities are guided by the following principles:

  • Local ownership, empowerment, and sustainability.

The management team consists of professionals with experience in education, microfinance, self-help groups, natural resource management, etc.
