We are proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Mohammed S. Al Surf to our Strategic Foresight Board. This significant addition reinforces CEA’s commitment to fostering global expertise and leadership in sustainability and circular economy practices.

Dr. Al Surf is a distinguished expert in sustainable and green construction, currently serving as the Director of the Carbon Department at Tilad Environment. He is also the Founder of the Sustainability Professionals in Saudi Arabia Network (SPSA), a vibrant platform that has brought together more than 15,000 professionals dedicated to advancing sustainability initiatives across the Kingdom and beyond.

Dr. Al Surf’s contributions have earned him international acclaim. He has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Sustainability Voices in the Middle East (2024) and among the 10 Most Dynamic Entrepreneurs Diversifying the Economy in Saudi Arabia (2024). These accolades reflect his pioneering influence in transforming the region’s sustainability landscape.

His credentials set him apart as a thought leader in the field. He holds multiple prestigious qualifications, including being the first Saudi to become a USGBC® Faculty, an ISSP® Sustainability Associate, and a TRUE® Advisor. Additionally, he is a LEED® Accredited Professional in BD+C, an ENV SP credential holder, and a Green Classroom Professional.

As an author, educator, and sustainability advocate, Dr. Al Surf has played a pivotal role in shaping sustainable policies and green building practices. His books, including “Sustainable Housing in Saudi Arabia: Opportunities & Challenges” and “10 Steps to Become a Sustainability Professional”, serve as valuable resources for professionals and policymakers alike. His work is deeply aligned with CEA’s mission to drive transformative change through circular economy principles. By prioritizing waste reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainable development, Dr. Al Surf brings a systematic approach that will contribute significantly to the global dialogue on sustainability.
